Hey fellow POTN'ers

As the title suggest I'm having a weird behavior on my camera with my newly calibrated 17-55 from canon.

The problem is when I tripod mount my body and lens then try to take a picture of something it tends to front focus a bit. I have a wireless trigger and have turned off the IS. I didn't do any test charts or anything and ill post some pictures if need be later but the weird part is if I take the same picture in live view mode its tack sharp. I understand in live view mode it uses a contrast based focus system. I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced this before?

Are you using single point focusing when using the tripod, trying using the center point.
Live view focusing is the most accurate as it is using the sensor to focus.

Use this process to see if your lens needs to be adjusted again.

Remember to set your live view focusing mode to "Quick Mode"

Did you get the body and lens calibrated together ?
Even though the lens was calibrated to spec, the body may be out, this is where Micro adjust would have been useful, but unfortunately is not available on the T2i.
