I'm switching from iPhone 3gs to the HTC Desire (released today in the US).
The flash is nice and the camera (5mp) is at least as good as the iPhone.
I have a lot to learn about the market place, etc., but thus far I am very satisfied.

I had one for about 3 weeks and I'm hoping to get another one very soon. I came from an iPhone, which I'd hated for a while. Everything about the Desire is just fun. The screen, Android, being able to customise everything.

Seems very cheaply made if they do. The Desire actually feels very solid. I loved the feel of it when I had it and for how thin it is, it feels quite good. Better than the iPhone 4, IMO. Much better.

Nice and heavy. The Desire in comparison felt cheap and plasticky, IMHO. The Desire is not cheap or plasticy and nothing is noticeably better. Obviously each to their own but I just feel your comparison to be completely underwhelming.
