Other than buying the WFT-E5 Wireless File Transfer Grip. What else do I need to buy and set up. So that I can transfer images directly to the computer as I am shooting.

I like making photos and sometimes I think I'm getting better... then I realise it doesn't matter. I like making photos!

You'll need your own ftp server as it's not provided by Canon

I don't remember if mine came with anything other than a software manual...but the disk that came with your camera has everything you need (and was probably installed when you installed the EOS Utilities) But soft was pc/mac only. CorsairS wrote in post #11657587 Hello Can anybody recommend a BT GPS unit for me? I tried the qstarz, but its compatible only on paper ![]() And anyone know a program that check the specific folder for new files and open automatically if found? When i get home, i can recommend a keychain gps i use that works great...was cheap too ($20 or so)! best of all it's small, easy to charge, and gets pretty good reception. Doubles as a GPS for my ipad as well. 5DmkIII | Rokinon 35mm f/1.4 | Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L mk II | Canon 24mm f/1.4L mk II | Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L mk II | Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L | Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS mk II | + Misc

I am embarrassed to tell you that though I have one for my 7D but have so far failed to get it working. Set up is a bit of a nightmare though there is a thread here explaining how which I really ought to follow when I have the time. @Simon_Gardner | Since 27 Nov 1987 | Tripod fetishist - moi?

And thanks for the tip for the GPS unit! I'll go ask the local Vodafone if they have it or not. could setup autohotkey maybe to continually san a folder...otherwise i think you'd have to leave a program running in the background 5DmkIII | Rokinon 35mm f/1.4 | Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L mk II | Canon 24mm f/1.4L mk II | Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L mk II | Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L | Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS mk II | + Misc
