Well I have to say I was nervous about this shoot when I was apprroached by the main shooter, but I went with it. I have shot backyard weddings before, but not like this. While they went low budget, they made up for what they didnt spend money wise in effort.

Enjoy.

They borrowed these mirrors, and I just loved the look of them.

And then there is the groom.

This was a lot of fun, and thank goodness I was the second shooter and the main could get the main photos.

Very nice! 1 and 6 are my favorites. I just wish that bride didn't have that horrible distracting tattoo!! Not your fault though, obviously! :)

I generally love low-budget backyard weddings. I think they can have more of a personal touch and the bride and groom's style and personality come out in them more. Or the opposite happens and you walk into a bare backyard that makes it look like no one bothered doing anything. This one looks gorgeous! Any detail shots you share?

Very nice pictures, I like 1 the most. 6 is a bit too dark for my taste but this is very personnal.
I also like the fisheye effect of the 4th a lot too.

Thanks Peace, I really like those as well. It was quite hard to narrow this wedding down to 8, I had about 15 that I really like. As for the details, Ill see what I can dig up. The table settings, food, etc. werent super photogenic, but I have a few that I like of the ring and the old car that the brides dad owns. It was pretty awesome. I would take this wedding over most hotel weddings, if not all, that I have done so far.

Thank you very much, the light was beautiful and the horse trails down by the house mad a great portrait location.

Thank you, I was going for a silhouette effect and in camera I was not really digging it, so I have lighter ones. After I got it in the computer and messed with it a little it really shined for me.
The fisheye is something I am continuously trying to incorporate into my weddings. True, it may be a bit trendy, but it is nice to add a little flare to make things look a bit different.

my fav wedding so far this year was a backyard wedding.

i actually like 5 the best, if it was level.

6 seems to be the board favorite but i really don't like it. too dark for me and it looks like she is frowning.

the pose on that last one is kinda cheesy... and maybe would have been a little better if they were in center of that table thingy behind them instead off slightly off to the side.

Great shots. Did you happen to take any photos of the front of the bride? She seems to be hiding in every shot. Just curious. :)
