Hello everybody!

I finally bit the bullet and got one of them 20ds.

Can somebody confirm that I didn't get ripped off?

Canon 20d body with the following:

Original packaging, manuals, software and accessories (strap, charger, cap, cables)
Two (2) 1 gig Compact flash chips (High Speed - 6 MB/s, min)
BG-E2 Canon Battery Grip WITH Canon Battery Grip Hand Strap
Two (2) Canon 511 batteries
Tamrac Qwick Release Strap
Canon EF 35-135mm f4-5.6 lens
Previous owner claims camera to be 1 year old with 8k clicks. $1560 shipped.

Anyway, I got lots of questions for you all - but I'll save them for later! :p

If you paid around 75% of the new price at B&H you probably did well. Seems a good set of kit. Not sure about the lens tho'. Check it out at www.fredmiranda.com (external link)

previous owner means it was "used".

the following products as new are :
the 20D new runs for about 1210$ new (w/o) lens
the BG-E2 is for about 164$
the EF 35-135 runs for about 280$
total : 1654$ new

so assuming your equipment is in good condition, no you didnt get ripped off :D

happy shooting
