I was attracted to this particular image because the tree branch mirrored the markings seen on the wings of the butterfly.

Camera: Canon EOS-1D mark II
Shutter speed: 1/640th second
Aperture: f/4.0
Lens: 135mm f/2.0L
ISO: 400

Past capture processing:
RAW file conversion: Aperture 3.0.3
Nik Dfine 2.0 - luminance noise suppression
Nik Viveza2 - local highlight and shadow enhancements

edit: noted the halo along the leading edge of the wing and the antennae but I don't see this in the RAW file so I think that I must have overcooked the sharpening. :oops:

Thank you. Butterflies tend to stay still for long periods so they are not that hard to capture. :)
