60D Burst Rate Not Hitting 6.5 FPS

Canon: 2 x 7D, Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 OS, 55-250 IS, Sigma 8-16, 24-105L, Sigma 50/1.4, other assorted primes, and a 430EX.
Nikon: D750, D600, 24-85 VR, 50 f/1.8G, 85 f/1.8G, Tamron 24-70 VC, Tamron 70-300 VC.

Well I'll be the one to point out the obvious, there are two burst modes.


Canon 5D & 40D | 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS | 16-35mm f/2.8 L | 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 | 50mm f/1.8

60D is old news. I'm sure the 70D is behind the corner. Based on the comments on this forum the 60D was a total failure...

Hitting 6.5fps on a 60D will be very, very difficult.

i think you need a grip with 2 batteries , to get the maximum juice out of that baby.

And I'll point out the 60D has a frame rate of 5.3. I am guessing you are talking about the 50D.

I have found if it is dark, am using a low ISO this will cause the frame rate to slow down as the shutter speed becomes very slow.

The 50D doesn't do 6.5 fps. Canon obviously fails, considering how it's going backwards all the time :rolleyes:

No, but it can take photos at ISO OVER 9000!

My 70D Wishlist:
-10 FPS at least
-Iris recognition system for camera security
-21 megapixels
-Direct print button for ease of printing
-Manual aperture control
-Slotted spoon holder
-Garlic press
