Markins makes a new line of L brackets, only for one Nikon and for the 5D2. I wonder if anyone has the 5D2 L bracket and what they think of it.

When the bracket is attached to the body there appears to be a bit of flex in the "vertical" plate. Furthermore, I can't use my TC-80 remote when using portrait mode with the Markins.

The Kirk L-Bracket seems to be similarly priced (i.e. a fair bit cheaper than the RRS) but looks a lot more robust, and with better access to the remote ports on the 5DII body . There is a little tab at the top of the vertical plate that butts up against the camera and stops the plate from flexing. You can see the difference in build in the photos: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …_L_Bracket_for_Canon.html http://www.markinsamerica.com/MA5/LC520.php Thanks. Good to know. I've had no such problems with the RRS L bracket. Jay

Thats a def deal breaker considering the RRS has zero of these issues. Wow, Im actually surprised that the Markins would do that! [Gear List | Flickr
