3rd Annual WNC Autumn Shootout - Fri. Oct. 15 2010

Having reviewed my available leave alongside the calendar, I can ask for time off either Oct 9-17 or Nov. 6-14. I'd lose a day at each end to travel, so open dates are Oct. 10-16 or Nov. 7-13. Oct. 11 (Mon.) is Columbus Day and Nov. 11 (Thur.) is Veteran's Day. Anyone else have any preferences? Fall colours are generally very good during mid-October.

I will just add that week days during the November window will be completely out for me as it is our registration period and that is my busiest time of the semester.

The October dates the 15th would be awesome as that is our Fall Break so no students on campus and easy peasy to get the day off when there are no students.

And of course weekends are usually no issue for me.

Oct. 15 would be best for me too; lets us make the return home a 2-day trip and avoid late weekend traffic coming into DC. Ann has to be down there the 9th for COA meeting (she's on hte board for her sins) anyhow.

I think Mike said he couldn't manage October. Maybe we'll hear from Julian and others . . .

I'll have to see how things go with team portraits this season. Hopefully I'll know a schedule soon.

Yeah...it would be fun to have some of the others get a chance to come play. I think we always manage to have a good time.

We haven't even discussed locations yet....we usually do something along the parkway in the fall. Depending on the date, should be prime leaf season.

I heard on the news the other day that our leaf season should be peaking in late October this year... so we should have some awesome color if we choose a date in the October range that Jon has!
