Have we narrowed down what day we are going to shoot? If it's a week day I need to go ahead and block it off on my work calendar so I can take the day off! :D

Seems to be a leaning toward Fri. Oct. 15th among those of us who are committed to showing up?

All I have seen is a date! What is the meet place, hotel or camping? Etc!

Very interested! Anyone from the Raleigh/Wake Forest area want to caravan up there?!

Details are still being worked on... Most of us live in the area or are staying in the area already so hotel/camping is up to you.

Keep watching here as things develop!

Most of us have been wandering around in the dark for years, though. So what else is new?

Seriously - are we ready to narrow down possible venues yet, or is it still too early? Looks like we'll be making do with 1 car this trip, since Ann decided to not go down early.

Wandering in the dark? Linville Caverns perhaps?

Sounds like a plan. I've never been to Linville Caverns, in spite of 20-some years visiting the area. Ann may even be interested in seeing them.

If we bring several Speedlites and open the place up, we might be able to do multi-flash shots? I see they've got "No tripod, No unipod (sic)" but do allow flash.

They do allow flash....I've shot there before. The place is a real cave when it comes to lighting. ;)
