Hi Guys! This is Lauren (we were just having fun, she's not actually a senior til next year but I will use her for promo) and my second time using my new 7D. I believe these were all shot with the Brick. Natural light for all.

I've been fairly lucky so far, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and mess around with the focusing on this thing (the 7D) ... right now, it looks a little confusing. Right now I"m not easily able to control my focus point.. any tips/suggestions???

Very nice work Heather! #1, #4, #5 and #6 are my favorites. Great poses, lighting and PP. Keep up the great work! Note bad for a Gopher! I recently retired from UW-Madison. I just couldn't pass up the oportunity to give our neighbors to the North a hard time. Seriously, I love your work. You show real talent. Keep shooting!

Girls these days like to wear 2 shirts with straps in the summer (not sure why) along with a bra so u have to watch out for these straps. In a couple pics all 3 straps are showing, keep that in mind to get them all in line so it doesn't distract from the photo.

very nice work. And agree, the 7d focusing system is a lot to absorb when you first strap it on. Here is what I'd do using my 7D for the shots you presented.

Put camera in one-shot mode. Set focus point to centerpoint only. You might even want to choose the "spot AF" (pg 87 of manual) mode. Use the joy stick (button that rocks in all directions next to top right corner of rear screen) to move the focus point onto face or eyes of your model. This will stop the 7D from choosing a focal point for you.

agreed... if she's 6' tall, you need to be working that length into the picture!
