Hello, I am about to pick up CS5 and I am curious if the Hdr functions are any better than CS3 which I currently have? I use photomatix at the moment. Hopefully CS5 will be as good as it but we will see.

From everything I've seen and read here, CS5 is better than CS4, which is better than CS3. However, none of them do what Photomatix does. CS5 has some other very nicely improved features though.

Yes, cs5 is well-equipped to do hdr.

Depends on what you want. Since you are getting CS5 anyway, give it a try. Some have posted some pretty nice stuff here with it.
