I am glad you noticed the WB, and the crops on the babe, they are off putting for me..head, hands , little feet,if you are going in close, its understandable, but keep the bits in the frame.
The focus looks very good to me.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Flo- Thanks I was attempting to get him NOT to eat the grass and it proved more difficult then I thought. Any Tips on getting the WB better ? I had it on Auto for most of them because it seems like I shoot is sunlight or in shade its still off a bit.

Your child has one of the most expressive faces that I've ever seen. Keep the camera handy.

I second Gail on the white balance.

My major issue is this: if you did these shots in experimental mode with respect to manual mode, then there is validity in this. However, if you really wanted nice pictures of your child, put your camera on Av and let it control the exposure. Somebody probably convinced you that real photographers only shoot in manual mode. In reality, real photographers select the mode that is the best for the circumstances. Your difficulty in getting the composition in two of the shots might be due to too much attention being drawn to making sure you got the exposure right when the camera could have done this for you. There is nothing magical about manual mode, except that you can then brag to all your friends that it's all you use and they will think that you must be a highly gifted photographer. Of course, they may change their opinion when they see pictures of your kid with the top of his head cut off.

Having to reach over to take grass out of his mouth is an even better reason not to use manual mode.

good call on the WB ... I didn't think it was an issue and CS5 showed me it was! A slight greenish color cast.
