havent posted in the critique section since a long time.....and before we start i know i forgot to wipe the dust of the little black plates.....hiting myself with a brick now for that, other then that pls critique away and let me know what you think.

I know its a bit early but happy Mid Autumn Festival to all Chinese, this are Moon Cakes which are amongst the things eaten on 22 september this year

Hi Marco!!! I love the colors and textures in these, the first really shows the range of colors and ingredients.really lovely.

IMO spot the dust ... the exposure is excellent ... the compositions are busy but well organized ... in #1 I would crop the paddle at the top to reinforce the crop on the right and the additional bit that gets cropped isn't adding that much to the scene. In general I spend a lot of time evaluating where to crop elements in a frame at the frame edges. Notice in #2 that the candle is touching the edge of the frame. It's not likely a real problem to most viewers but when it comes to pushing elements off frame (by cropping) I can only state that it will matter to someone, particularly if an art director is involved.

Other than these minor details what a sumptuous feast!!!!

At first glance these look pretty good, but #1 is so busy that I'm not sure what I should be looking at. I'd crop down into the mushrooms, but that leaves a black hole near the center so I'd probably wind up rearranging the whole set-up.

I think its an asian thing.....if asians see this they right away see moon cakes.......i think, but i understand what you say all .....I will try again with the same and do a more wider set up....more space, and a clearer subject
