Canon Ef 35mm or 28mm on 5d?

I need help because I don't know if it's better on a 5d old the ef 35mm f2 or the 28mm 2.8...is there anyone who can give me some advice or personal experience?

I use the 35 f/2 on a 5d2 and I think its a fantastic little lens.....

Why not the 24-70L?

Small lens is one thing, but the versatility of a high end zoom is extremely nice to have...

yes if 2.8 is enough and money is not a factor go for 24-70mm.


I know more about gear than I know about photography :p

I would get a 35/2...they're both old, cheap lenses with 5 aperture blades. Might as well get the faster one.

I couldnt stand the buzzing noise of the 35mm f2 but its in the back of my mind again because the only real alternative is the 35L.

Both are built the same, are the same size and have the same optical quality. So really this needs to come down to focal length or aperture. 28mm is really quite wide on a 5D while 35mm is more of a wide-normal.

I'd KILL for a $300-$500 35/1.8. Or even an updated 35/2 with better bokeh. I want a 35L so badly but the fact that it costs more than all of my lenses combined is a big turn-off.
