I was at a local fete this afternoon and one of the attractions was a 'walk on water' thing consisting of giant transparent globes that one stands in and rolls across a large swimming pool. The children, of course, absolutely love them and I though that they would make good pictures - so I took quite a few. The amazing thing about this story is that absolutely no-one gave me a second glance or looked at me suspiciously or asked why I was photographing the children. I was using the 70-200 - a very noticeable lens.
This episode has quite restored my faith in people. Perhaps people are beginning to realise that not all photographers taking pictures of children are paedphophiles. Perhaps a new age is dawning!
