I spend most of my time learning from taking pics of my kids. The almost 2 year old is now getting harder to photograph as she runs around but my 6 month old son is now making some great faces.

Even with that- the exposure, lighting, color balance, and subject all make this a great shot. Certainly a keeper. I think if you are going to crop a head do so a little lower towards the brow. Cropping a small portion off feels like you weren't planning the frame very carefully and used what you captured as is. The other choice is to include his entire head.

I can ask my wife or other family members but it could be a horrible picture but since it is our little kids it is always great. And it makes it harder for me as the dad to critique my own kids.
