Adobe Camera Raw has been updated to Version 6.2, and it now works with the 60D. It does not appear to be a beta release. This is really fast for Adobe. For the 7D it tooks months before the final update came out.

Maybe the quick addition of the 60D is an indication of how it's not so much differnt from the 50D.

It's a lens not a lense!

Yep, almost identical. For the raw de-mosaicing* anyway.

I think it was just a convenient coincidence for Adobe. They have a regular schedule of releasing a .x update every three months. The fact that the 60D was announced 5 days ago worked out well for them. OTOH, the fact that they apparently got their hands on a pre-production model or two indicates an unusual level of cooperation from Canon. But the conversions might be less than perfect. It has happened in the past that when Adobe rushed to get support for a new camera into a .x release the profiles were not very good, apparently because variation from one unit to another means that building good generic profiles requires testing many cameras.

You're right. But, in the past, when the profiles were less than perfect, they announced beta releases of Camera Raw. 6.2 is not a beta release, so IMHO, they must be pretty sure of the profile.
