Nice compositions, but they both look dark to me - dark enough to obscure some of the details, particularly in the first one. Hartley J

Hartley Member 130 posts Joined Aug 2010 Location: Phoenix, AZ More info | And I'm back.. Hope you don't mind, I took a shot at brightening #2 up a bit, and also removing the vignetting.. it isn't all the way gone, but it's much better to my eye.
Since you are looking North in this picture, maybe a polarizing filter would have darkened the sky some and made the bright white lighthouse stand out better. A graduated ND might have helped, too, but I am NOT an expert on those.. ![]() Hartley J
