Can someone help explain this to me?

How come whenever you hover the mouse over a picture to preview it, it's more colorful and vibrant but if you leave mouse over it for long enough or click on it to open it loses all it's vibrant colors.

shooting RAW? its probably showing you a nice and shiny jpeg preview at first because it would take too much resources to load RAW data into your ram. once you move mouse or click it, it changes to show you the RAW

which picture the one in the navigation screen in the upper left the strip on the bottom the main image of the grid images? There are several spots where images are. Also there is a color difference from RAW and Jpegs.
