A Few Flickers and a Mourning Dove

Here are a few from a few days ago...Can't figure out what this little guy is trying to do here.. He did this off and on for a few minutes too... He may have thought he was hiding from me... lol

And I must have at least 15-20 doves and sometimes more... Not an exciting bird to view but what can you do when you have so many of them..

Love your first shot especially, Norman! These birds normally take off almost as quick as the pileated woodpeckers do.

Hi Norman... fine shots... love your flicker shots. In the first one, he is taking a "sunbath" ... my chickadees really enjoy picking up a "few rays" year around :)

Mourning doves can be quite colorful under the right lighting. They have a magnificent display of color at times. A very underrated bird. Plus I have fond memories of them cooing on my walk to grade school. Fantastic shots!
