i am trying to show my gf that kenko tubes are a good cheap replacement for a marco lens for the next few months. post up your favorite pics that you took with them in here please.

Well, these are Kenko tubes paired with a 100 macro for even more macro goodness, so it might help your point, might hurt it.

I don't own a "true" macro lens. Well the 24-70L says macro on the side, but that's really iffy, but I do own a full set of Kenko tubes and it pairs very nicely with my EF 85mm f1.8 and that's kind of become my macro set up. It works, but it really isn't a perfect replacement for a true macro lens. I'm thinking about getting a Canon EF-s 60mm f2.8 to throw on in front of the tubes.

I hope this helps your cause. Buy them off of eBay, they are cheaper that way. I paid around $130 for my set of three ETs.
