My girlfriends mother gave me her tripod she had with her Canon AE-1 its from the late 80's or early 90's but it was free! and its sturdy as a mofo.

ive read about people keeping these for years.. but replacing the head as their equipment gets heavier

just wanted to share because i was super excited to have my equpiment collection grow!(and for free :D)
