"Napping the afternoon away." Is a common phrase in the English language and the "afternoon" is from 12:01 to 5:59 pm.

And the term "cat nap" was coined for your "short nap or doze"...

Most of you know me well enough to know that if I'm commenting on your photos, I'll honestly comment MY opinion. Just that.

If I'm making a general observation in my post, it's just that, a general observation. And I thought I made that clear.

I wasn't trying to take a shot (cheap or otherwise) at anyone. I was simply posting some common mistakes that people (self included) make and it was a simple attempt to chronicle & advise.

So, for those of you that know me, you know what I meant. For those of you that don't or assume I'm just a ****, sorry about that. Nothing I say or do will change how you perceive me, or what I say or do.

To Diane and Wool, no, I was not taking any shots at you (or anyone else, should there be any other misconceptions re my post) or your shots. Sheesh.

Afternoon everyone. Still no nap or sleep here. I took our friend Jim grocery shopping this morning, and he asked if I could take him to Borders and Lunch. Got into a disagreement with him though - since he insists on paying for lunch, I do not charge him for that time (His daughter is paying us to drive her Dad to appointments, groceries, ect), and he thinks we should. I put down the time for groceries and book store, and he kept telling me to add another hour - I told him no, and left it at that.

But in all seriousness, c&c on these. Is this first one worth a pinch of salt as a portrait, or is it just a snapshot? Be honest.

And is this one a lost cause because I stink and underexposed her, brought up the brightness and lost a lot of details from the dark areas? Again...be honest. I have my big girl pants on today. (don't worry Zane, they're not cute)

Diane, I like the second one. First one is too hard to see the young lady

Those of us that know you, know that you were stating your opinion on something, not taking potshots. I would not worry about someone that is not regularly on the thread.

Di: Have to agree with Puddles on #1. She's really doing a vanashing act.

My biggest nit with #2 = She's a little "hippy" to be so squared up to the lens. Turned more off axis would (I think) be more flattering.
