Not sure yet if it is a good morning yet. I took Buddy with me last night and spent the night at the house where I am cat sitting (18 year old) and he woke me up every 2 hours to go outside and check the perimeter, and about the time I started to get back to sleep, it was time to get up again. Today is my only day off from work, so it is going to be a long weekend. Geez Heather, wish you'd have gotten a longer nap! Harm wrote in post #10927149 I am sooooooooo not a morning person, I'd also like 5-6am sunlight at 11am...Maybe it is time to move to Fairbanks, Alaska Other than the AK thing, that sounds fantastic. Harm wrote in post #10927299 snapshot for me. puddlepirate44 wrote in post #10927316 Di: You really want my opinion? Really? OK. Beautiful landscape. I see a hint of a girl by that tree. Miniflash wrote in post #10927341 D ,snapshot to me ~ puddlepirate44 wrote in post #10927367 I agree, the light is great! Kudos for getting the timing. Clarification: My earlier comment was for the first shot. The second shot is much better. Woolburr wrote in post #10927392 Second shot isn't too bad....I think the first one can be chalked up to experience. Permagrin wrote in post #10927430 I do remember her. I didn't keep her on after I answered her questions. Guess she didn't go nikon then? Nice shots though. I wouldn't call the first one a snapshot. I actually like it. Wouldn't call it a portrait either....but I think it's a nice companion shot to the portraits. The last one doesn't work for me though. Nope, she went Canon, but the one she's holding in that shot is an old film Minolta that she and her Dad learned to use together....and they've been developing their own stuff, too. Thanks. BearLeeAlive wrote in post #10928188 DIANE, wonderful shots of the girl (senior?). My only nit is why in the world she would go to a shoot like this with her bra strap showing. I know I am old school, but to me that really looks bad. Otherwise, she looks great. *shrugs* IDK....I actually recommend long sleeves to each of them, but they pick their outfits, lol. I guess some feel as though it shows off their tan? Permagrin wrote in post #10928545 wow. I just had someone asking me if I was taking cheap shots at Diane & Wool on the thread. wtheck? Most of you know me well enough to know that if I'm commenting on your photos, I'll honestly comment MY opinion. Just that. If I'm making a general observation in my post, it's just that, a general observation. And I thought I made that clear. I wasn't trying to take a shot (cheap or otherwise) at anyone. I was simply posting some common mistakes that people (self included) make and it was a simple attempt to chronicle & advise. So, for those of you that know me, you know what I meant. For those of you that don't or assume I'm just a ****, sorry about that. Nothing I say or do will change how you perceive me, or what I say or do. To Diane and Wool, no, I was not taking any shots at you (or anyone else, should there be any other misconceptions re my post) or your shots. Sheesh. *sigh* I know we've had our differences and tend to have different styles, but I didn't feel that you were talking about any of us with that particular post. All good here...just had a busy evening. FlyingPhotog wrote in post #10928677 Di: Have to agree with Puddles on #1. She's really doing a vanashing act. My biggest nit with #2 = She's a little "hippy" to be so squared up to the lens. Turned more off axis would (I think) be more flattering. Thanks Jay. short5 wrote in post #10928750 You were so taking cheap shots at Jim, I saw. Dood you PM'ed me all crying that Lisa didn't like you or your pictures, admit it, CRYING big Canada tears I say. MMMMhmmm, meanie mouse. Yo, looks like a nice day for you. Depends how you look at it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMnjF1O4eH0 LMFAO Zane...sorry dude, I still heart you. short5 wrote in post #10928790 Diane I did not comment due to fog and nothing constructive to add. I figured real photographers would be more help than my youtube links. The last two shots don't look like your best work. Your other shots from earlier are nice but I would agree with Jim on the bra strap. While I love underwear showing on girls, I have noticed your boudoir style showing through more and more in your portraits. It is a nice style for a different setting. I am hardly a prude but I sort of like a more conservative pretty look for the senior stuff that highlights their hobbies and about them rather than tries to make them look sexier than the other girl. Fair enough. mtnphtgrphr wrote in post #10929634 I don't think this is necessarily Diane... that's how these girls dress... I"m at least glad that the bra strap was the same COLOR as the cami strap.... I've seen straps like that that totally don't match... I've seen MUCH worse... ^^ and that. Permagrin wrote in post #10929644 oooh good idea...belly up to the bar boys, the shots are on Dan. *pours the Chief a double white grape juice* *pours self a double agave* May I either have something with tah-killya or a grape nehi? Looks like a good thing. Is it easy to use? Do you just plug it into your puter and it does everything for you? I read the stuff on your link but I'm not very puter savvy. ![]() I will definitely let you all know once it is up and running. It is supposed to be really easy to use. This model just plugs into our network anywhere, either at the router, or a wall port. -JIM-
