I am not going to change society and the sad truth is around here the manager would have likely looked at me and just assumed I had some personal issue with the guy. They are all union, he would have had to had killed someone to get fired. Crazy. Union or not, that's just unheard of here. I tend to ramble. Feel free to put me on ignore.

I'm going tomorrow, so I'll look for them. Love it Dan! Permagrin wrote in post #10927920 seriously I was at someone's site today that did all these things (except a glowing factory, which I found on another site). Grungy brides, bad angles...uber vignettes, and freaking zombie looks. I reacted to the photos all right, but not I'm sure, the reaction they wanted. And no I didn't post anything, but it got me thinking, do people realize the "effect" they get is probably nowhere near what they are going for? If you look in the Transportation share, every car picture is either drastically tilted or is a "rig" shot (where the camera is mounted on the car, giving a blurred background.) These guys don't seem to have one shred of originality... BearLeeAlive wrote in post #10930406 A wise person, you are. Hahahahaha........... You can get ones that do that too. What I was referring to as the wall port was the network connection. This unit uses some kind of fancy raid technology that if even two of the backup drives fail at once, the information is all still intact. If the Drobo fills up, you just pull any drive and install a new one, and it just updates it. I bought 2 2T drives for only $200 for now. I discovered I can convert an old box I've got sitting around with just a memory upgrade and the Windows Home Server software. Certainly more cost effective than what you're doing.

thomascanty wrote in post #10932466 Next time you're down here in the desert, you should check it out. It's a sort of outdoor museum, not far from where the Chief lives. There are several dozen metal statues like those scattered over several miles near Anza Borrego. Here's the official web site about it It's about halfway between us and the Chief, although a tad closer to him. Don't forget who told you about them... Chet wrote in post #10933409 They say to slice an "X" in the sticker with a razor blade so that it can't be removed without damage. WI now makes theirs all sliced so that it won't come off without damage. Some people suck. California's are supposed to be tamper-proof. Heather said there was still a piece of it on the plate... The manage is a jerk, though, and we give him jabs every chance we can. I'm not sure he has figured out that it's actually personal. We got into a very big argument with him one day over bottled water of all things. They had it on sale at a very attractive price, so we ordered 20 cases. They didn't have that much on hand, and he was refusing to give us a rain check. I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

We eventually got the rain check, but he was not happy, and he would always walk the other direction when he saw us coming. He still does, in fact. Yesterday, I saw him sitting in front of the store on a cigarette break. I had him cornered, so I walk over and told him it was a disgusting habit, and it would stunt his growth. He was obviously thrilled with that bit of wisdom. Later, he was working the express checkout, and when he saw us in line, he called another checker to take over. I think I might start going there 2-3 times a day. It will make his job so much more rewarding. :{)# Jon

This one is much more effective at automatically backing our network up, using the latest RAID technology, and offering much better security. For me, with the company files, and all our families files and photos, it is well worth the piece of mind. I understand your need for multiple backups, especially since you have business stuff on your network. I'm less concerned about backup than I am about getting everything in one place and having it readily accessible from all the machines on our network. John
