well, I was going through my galleries today to find Tif's wedding...gads it was buried deep in an old xhd. And I found a few bracketed exposures of Whatcom Falls. I thought, after my post yesterday, I'd try to hdr them...what do you think? So these are real hdr's, not pseudo

I really like the first one, but the second two just don't quite look right, and I'm honestly not sure why. I do REALLY like the first one though, lol!

Yesterday I did an embarrassing first. Commuting back the 250 miles from Lacrosse WI, me and the guy I was with stopped for gas and a potty break. He's moving the car from the pumps so I go ahead and go in the travel plaza for a bit of relief. I enter the empty restroom and notice there are no urinals. I questioned it for a minute but proceeded to a stall anyways and locked up to do my business. I notice one of those girlie trash bins hanging on the wall mid pee and the thought struck me. AM I IN THE WOMENS BATHROOM? I finished up and listened for the all clear but apparently the restroom was now very occupied, I waited still longer with no luck of a silent exit. I opened the stall, and yes to my horror two woman are looking at me. Needless to say, I did not wash my hands, but proceeded directly out of the ladies room. I felt very uncomfortable standing in line to purchase my Pepsi, as one of the ladies went back behind the counter was a cashier. I half expected to be pulled over and arrested a few miles down the road.

GAH! One day I'll laugh about it.

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!

We shop at a local Ralph's market, and we like just about everyone who works there. The manage is a jerk, though, and we give him jabs every chance we can. I'm not sure he has figured out that it's actually personal. We got into a very big argument with him one day over bottled water of all things. They had it on sale at a very attractive price, so we ordered 20 cases. They didn't have that much on hand, and he was refusing to give us a rain check.

We eventually got the rain check, but he was not happy, and he would always walk the other direction when he saw us coming. He still does, in fact.

Yesterday, I saw him sitting in front of the store on a cigarette break. I had him cornered, so I walk over and told him it was a disgusting habit, and it would stunt his growth. He was obviously thrilled with that bit of wisdom. Later, he was working the express checkout, and when he saw us in line, he called another checker to take over.

I think I might start going there 2-3 times a day. It will make his job so much more rewarding.

Oh goodness, I'd be mad as he_ _.

If I had my arms around a sweet young thing like Leyla, I'd be laughing, too. Of course it would be nervous laughter as I would be looking all around for Lois who, we can be assured, would not find it funny at all.

Geez that's early!

I'm going to attempt to fill the void left by C@'s abscense...scads of dog pics coming up shortly. Boo would have eaten the little critter that Sasha played with today...but omgosh am I glad Sasha isn't dog aggressive. They were a hoot. AND she gets along with the HUGE (scary looking) pitty that just moved in down the street...he's not scary, but dang he's massive and kind of drooly. Dwarfs Sash!

Beauty pageant is done, but the photo processing. It is very hard being 2nd runner up when there are only 3 contestants. I felt bad for her.

Speaking of Err99, it must be the flash unit that was causing my problems a couple weeks ago. I tried it tonight prior to the contest and got no flash. Changed to Curt's and no problems at all.

lol.

It's a good thing Timmy had Lassie cuz if he'd had my two, his rescues would have involved bashing his head with their skulls and bringing him rubber balls to console him as he lay crippled.

Heavens. We ran out of propane today and didn't have time to go get any. So this evening I go and use the RV parks shower facilities. Very nice. It's a new RV park so everything is still nice and clean. Anyway, HOLY MOLY that shower sprayed so hard that it almost hurt! I've never been in a shower with so much water pressure. Was actually pretty nice when I got use to it.:lol:

Sorry about that. Hope you work it out.

Woke up to a dead battery in the Lexus this morning. Actually, we discovered it about 10 minutes before our 11:00am appointment. We piled into the dirty pickup truck, and arrived at our luncheon date on time, albeit looking a bit like country folk in our muddy Tundra.

I put the charger on the car, and after a few hours, it still didn't have enough charge to crank the engine. I jumped it from the truck and it started okay, but emitted a smell from the engine compartment very reminiscent of rotten eggs. That would be sulfuric acid----the battery was leaking.

It was about 5:30, and I knew Sears turned out the lights at six, so we dashed down to the mall, and caught them in the process of closing up. All the bay doors were already shut, and the salesman was counting the cash drawer. Anyway, without boring you with all the details, suffice it to say that 15 minutes and $135.00 later, we drove out with a new battery in the car and no more rotten egg smell. I watched them remove the old battery, and it had developed a crack around two sides where the top and the sides are joined. Apparently it got very hot and melted the seal between those parts of the case.

There are so many things that car needs, but I suppose not as much as it needed that battery this afternoon. We just didn't have a chance to plan for it, so the other critical needs will just get shoved back, at least until they too become urgent. Next will be tires, unless of course something else breaks in the meantime.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!
