  • Wool: Has done the unthinkable.... He now is shooting Nikon. He owns a D700 and a D3x as well as a full bag of various lenses. As surprising as this is, there are those of us that know that this turn of events is due mainly to Wool's overuse of his wife's Epi pen and the inordinate intake of what he calls "Benedrly Shooters".

OMG.....can't breathe....get me the Epi pen!

Afternoon everyone. Happy Friday. Not much going on here.

oh I forgot to tell you guys one fun thing that happened during the renewal of vows...

We (myself, Cat, Chris & Dan) were taking photos & Wade was videoing...and some people came up to Dan and asked what we were doing & if Zane & Leyla were famous. Dan was so intent on getting ready for the ceremony that he did NOT take advantage of the moment and assure the onlookers that Z&L were visiting royalty. Silly boy that he is...:lol:

Dan missed his time in the spot light to cause trouble

Time to go see if I have to face any music after blowing up last evening at our Marketing Manager. Seems there was a promotion going on that I wasn't told about which equals me going back and adjusting compensation before paying commissions on Tuesday. I wasn't happy and let it be known.

Hope it goes well. I get to deal with HR whenever I get a raise, as my lead pay does not go up, and they don't retro the pay for the difference, but tells me that I still have to clock in under the lead code to accrue the hours

Very cute series Mike

  • Crissa: Got in a fender bender with the trailer hitch that was on the back of an Arcturian Solar Destroyer. Which, of course, inflames the debate as to whether or not the Arcturians should have drivers licenses at all. Ever.
  • Paula: Was recently discovered to be the last known member of the Quinton Royal House. Because of this, she is the de-facto ruler of the Quintonians and has the option of setting up court in the palace known as the "House of the Angry Moon." Unfortunately, this "house" is, in fact, an abandoned strip mall in downtown Detroit. Paula is not sure of her plans for this palace.
  • Harm: Won the Pancake Head Lottery in Massachusetts. Furthermore, he does not have to share the winnings with anyone else. He has opted to take the tax hit and decided to take all the winnings at once. In a bold move, he spent all the money to purchase a 20 oz. Coke.
  • Deb: Has decided that she really likes small dogs and has adopted three more little puppies: Oslo, Moscow and Berlin. She's thinking of getting more little dogs, but is quickly running out of European capital names for them.
  • Jim: Was recently named "Best Carpenter Wearing Only An Apron" in the vastly popular "Polar Bear Woodworks" magazine. Remember, this is Canada we're talking about here....
  • Jenn: Is so fascinated by her "New To Her" 5D, "George", that she has broken with tradition and asked it to marry her. Apparently, in North Carolina, this is OK. Her boys, though very fond of the camera, are not too sure that this is the best thing for their mom. They fear that the lack of back and forth communication will wear thin over time. Their wedding rings will, of course, be red.
  • Cat: Has, after much counseling, decided that not all animals need to be rescued. This was a tough turning point in her life. It came about when, in a heart to heart talk, Permie told her that Velociraptors were, indeed, extinct and beyond rescuing.
  • Chet: Is pregnant. Let's not go there, K?
  • Wool: Has done the unthinkable.... He now is shooting Nikon. He owns a D700 and a D3x as well as a full bag of various lenses. As surprising as this is, there are those of us that know that this turn of events is due mainly to Wool's overuse of his wife's Epi pen and the inordinate intake of what he calls "Benedrly Shooters".
  • John W: Has admitted to Heather that, although he is an avid zoo fan, he cannot stand monkeys. Last we heard, John is doing fine in ICU and the doctors expect that he will have full use of his jaw sometime in 2012.
  • Heather: Has, as a means to comfort John in his recent condition, decided to play her full collection of CD's of Gregorian Chants done by Howler Monkeys.
  • Zane: Has made a pilgrimage to Oregon with his wife, Leyla. It was a great time to see them over here. There has been reports, however, that Zane has gone "native" and has been seen to be wearing tie-dye shirts under his flannels, running through the old growth forests and hugging random trees. Apparently, he has been petitioning the POTN Moderators to change his screen name to "Bark Lover".
  • Becky: Has been very supportive of her husband's political career. Unbeknownst to Curt, however, Becky has put her name on the ballot as well. She is very excited and very hopeful for the next election even though Illinois has never had "Baroness Extraordinaire" in an election before.
  • Lonnie: Recently confessed that, although he still likes pink, most of his pink attire was originally red and then faded. We, as a united front, applaud his honesty and openly mock his futile attempts to excuse away his pink predilections.
  • Terri: Has finished her first book, "If You Show Me Another Spider or Clown Picture Again, I'll Gladly Rip Out Your Genetic Code From You and Your Descendants". We expect great things from her first foray into the literary world and look forward to its many promised sequels, like, "Look, Oompa Loompas Are Creepy. Deal With It or I'll Be Forced To Crush Your Skull With a Volcano". Advanced sales will start very soon.
  • Jon: Was happy to announce that he has recently been elected as Prime Minister of the Graxflin Nation of Blanderscoot. What he was not happy about was the fact that he has to wear a dead Dungeness crab on his head during his entire term.
  • Belmondo: Came clean about all those long trips that he makes on a somewhat regular basis. We now know that he is, in fact, a part of the very secretive Zombie Eradication Division of California. As a key member of ZED, the Chief and the team he commands is required to respond to any Zombie outbreak in Californian region. Considering L.A. and San Francisco, it's no wonder that he's always on the road.
  • Sid: Was recently seen purchasing many boxes of ammunition, some rounds as large as .50 cal. When asked why the excessive amount of ammo, he replied, "I have to go on a road trip with Chris." This seemed to answer all questions.
  • JJ: Has recently finished his fifteenth trip to the Caffeine Rehab Farm near where he lives. His extreme addiction to caffeine in all forms has riddled his life with shame and regret. The rehab was very difficult and longer than expected. At one point, his survival was iffy. As he emerged from the Farm, his hopes were high and gave us all promises that the dark Caffeine Haze Days were a thing of the past for him. He left the press conference, waving to his supporters and made his way to the nearest Java Jolt Express Cafe across the street.
  • Chris: Took the plunge and has had a "bit of ink" put on his body. We all support his decision, although his initiation into the world of Tattoo seemed a bit much to many of us. Usually, when a person gets their first tattoo, they get something small and they get it placed in some discreet place, like on their upper arm. Not our Chris, though. No sir. No going half way with him. The full scalp tattoo saying, "Meany Lives Here" was a bold move, to be sure.
  • Jay: Has always been admired for his airplane photography. We have recently discovered that his artistic ability doesn't end there! While in an obscure record shop in Newark, some of our members found some CD's of Jay's musical talents. It seems that our intrepid Flying Photog is also an accomplished Harpist and travels the country attending various Renaissance Faires playing his harp while he is dressed up as Sammy the Satyr. Who knew.
  • Tif: Is the world's best daughter.
  • Didier: Who is our traveling photographer, took the plunge and recently purchased the new Canon 70-200 II. What most don't realize is that Didier also purchased the Do It Yourself "Xankranck's Time Buster Portal" from Home Depot. He plans on taking his camera with the new lens back through time to take digital shots of historic events. We have since dissuaded him from going to Hiroshima.
  • Neil: Is woefully absent. His last missive to us all stated that he was going to take some time off to enjoy some of the prettier places on the globe. We're all happy for him as he rarely gets to go see anything nice, ever. I mean, the guy vacations at places like the South of France, Sicily or Malta. That's gotta suck. Here's to you, Neil. May you find better vistas to shoot in places like Buffalo, Fresno or Amarillo.

LOVE THIS DAN
