On a T2i, to be used for photojournalism, portraits, and street candids. Please pick a letter(s) accordingly from each category. You'll be doing me a huge favor! Thanks a lot!

Oh, and before you pick the most expensive one from each category, please keep in mind that I have about $3500 for these 6 lenses (at used prices).

Category 1: Walkaround (PICK ONE)
A) EF 24-105 f/4L IS
B) EF-S 15-85 f/3.5-5.6 IS
C) EF 24-70 f/2.8L
D) EF-S 17-55 f/2.8

Category 2: Primes (PICK THREE)
E) Sigma 30 f/1.4
F) Sigma 50 f/1.4
G) Canon 85 f/1.8
H) Canon 100 f/2.8 Macro
I) Canon 100 f/2
J) Canon 135 f/2L

Category 3: Wide (PICK ONE)
K) EF-S 10-22 f/3.5-4.5
L) EF 17-40 f/4L
M) Tokina 11-16 f/2.8

Category 4: Telephoto (PICK ONE)
N) 70-200 f/4L
O) 70-200 f/4L IS
P) 70-200 f/2.8L
Q) 70-200 f/2.8L IS

Thanks again! :D

Personally, I'd go with a Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 or a Canon 10-22 and a "Normal" zoom like a Canon 17-55. I think that would work. Maybe a Canon 50mm f1.4 for portraits. I'd also get a flash like a 430EX for portraits as well.

Walkaround: 24-105L
Primes: Sigma 30mm (indoor) or the 50mm (middle) or Canon 85/1.8 (outdoor) [only you would know]
Wide: Tokina 11-16 (heck of a good lens)
Telephoto:70-200 f4 IS (much lighter than the f2.8 so I guess you'll use it far more often)

Why is the 17-55 placed under 'walkaround' and the 17-40 under 'wide'?

My pick would be 10-22, 17-55, 70.200. See my signature :P

DEMQ. See my signature... just replace the seeking 35L with a sigma 30/1.4 which I owned before.

I don't have experience with all the lenses you listed, but I would go with this:

Category 1: Walkaround
A) EF 24-105 f/4L IS

Category 2: Primes
E) Sigma 30 f/1.4
G) Canon 85 f/1.8
J) Canon 135 f/2L

Category 3: Wide
M) Tokina 11-16 f/2.8

Category 4: Telephoto
O) 70-200 f/4L IS

If anything would have to go, I'd drop the 85mm f/1.8.

Drop t2i, add 5D or 5D II

then add 35L, 85L, and 24-105L
