First time I ever pulled off a gift shot half-way decent. You pros don't have to worry about uncle/aunt bob/bobbies......I would NEVER want to do this professionally - too much worry and takes the fun out of it........

thanks in advance for looking......

Its a nice exposure, bit of a bulls eye but I shoot a lot of those myself so no critique from me on that one. Shame the flower wasn't in better condition and the background text may have worked better the right way up.

Jon I totally agree. But that is the way the gift-giver placed the flower (I did not have the nerve to physically retrieve the flower and place it upside down so that I could get it with the words right side up). I wish I had the nerve to do that, but I couldn't. It is a bull-eye top shot, as these gifts were piled pretty high, and I'm a shortie, and that was the only composition I could manage given the situation. Next time I will try for better composition and perhaps have some sort of lift/step to compensate for my shortness.....

that's why I said it was only half-way there, but despite that, I am happy I got this far for the first time........
