I'm very new to Rebels. Came off a nikon point and shoot. Do you think these captures are worthy enough for purchase? I'm trying to get a good foot in on this camera, so i was trying to see what you guys thought of these to know where I stand as far as quality goes.

Here's another shoot I did 2 weeks ago.

Watch the overuse of the vignette, it can make a great photo poor.
Good clarity on these.

There are some clipped shadows and highlights and some verticals that aren't quite strait, but these are pretty good.

Anyway, you can show me some pointers on to what your talking about exactly. Maybe point something out in specific, so I can learn. Thanks

Nice shots.

Clipped highlights and shadows refers to highlights and shadows that don't contain any detail, like the lead singer's hair in #3, or the stage light on the wall in the same shot. By verticals he meant that the vertical elements in the shot, like the brick walls in number...three again!...are tilted at an angle as opposed to being straight up and down.

These are good. #1 is a great pose by a band and that is not as easy as it might seem. I have seen poorly composed band shots but this image shows great expression and character. I think you found your game. My only comment is about over processing an image and I understand how subjective that is. At some point an over processed image appears comical or an abstraction of the truth. That very well may be the goal.

Yes it was very hard to get this shot. 2 of the 5 are goofy and have A.D.D. lol so it was difficult but very fun. Ill have some more of them soon enough.

Wonderful shots they all pop right out at you.

What editing program did you use?
