Looks like I might be doing a pool shoot next week and I need a housing or bag. The shoot will be in a swimming pool at a depth of 5 feet max and I need something to keep it safe and be able to grab focus while in video mode. Any suggestions that dont involve thousands of dollars? I was looking at the ewa-marine U-B 100 but I am not too sure how well that will work with manual focus. Thanks guys!

You're going to have to part with at least a grand here, me thinks, unless you rent something

If you get a Canon G11 and an underwater housing, you will be spending far less than $1000. If you go for a 7D underwater housing, you would be spending close to $2000 or even more.

I think the company is called Aqua tech. It'll run you $1600-$1700 for the housing. You will be better off renting it instead of buying, unless this will be something permanent. You will have a very hard time selling it as well after you upgrade to a new body.

If only the D10 did video... I hear the D11 will.

Sorry, I was wrong, looks like it does standard def video. I guess the D11 will be adding HD. Thanks for the correction.

Canon is currently having a direct sale on underwater cases for their PowerShot cameras. They are selling them for around $240 which is roughly half price. You may have an email from Canon in the past couple days about the sale. I think that they are good to about 130 foot depth.

But I thought the 7D had weather sealing! Why do you need a housing?

I keed, I keed!
