Yeah, you can rent housings from all kinds of places. I'd do that.

Well it looks like my show is just going to get HydroFlex housings for their 2 Sony F35 cameras. They were going to use mine but they decided on spending the cash in the right place. This is for a new Fox TV show we are shooting right now, kind of modeled after the show "Modern Family".

I called HydroFlex and they only have a housing for a 5DII, but they have had a ton of calls for housings for the 7D so they told me they are going to design one for that. This was only going to be a 1 day rental for me so the purchase of a real housing would not make the best financial move on my part. Thanks for the info guys!

I would get a G11 and a under water housing for that. It is gonna cost you less than the 7D housing by quite a bit.
