this new calibration tool for lens, looks a lot like lensalign

http://dpreview.com …atacolorapyderlenscal.asp (external link)

VS

http://www.lensalign.com/ (external link)

looking at the video demo, the new datacolor product has no sites to help align your lens properly with the target. the lensalign lite is 79$ (same as the datacolor price) yet it has at least some mirror mechanism to align your camera to target. seems like a critical feature missing in datacolor's product to allow repeatable results... odd

anyway -- both products are still overpriced imo. and yet i caved and have the lensalignpro version ... great tool.

Seems less comprehensive than the lensalign. Personally I would just build your own setup with a cereal box. All this is a waste of money.
