Again Shot with a 40d and a Rokkor X 50 1.4
I feel pretty sure both shot at F/2.0 or 2.8

I like the soft muted tones in #1. The motion in the background adds to visual contrast with the subject. I might consider a little local contrast adjustment on the subject but mostly to see if it made any difference.

#2 I would rather see eyes than sunglasses. The reflection can be used to tell a story if you can get the right kind of scene in the frame.

The first just misses for me focus wise..the face is soft...I am not looking fortack sharp, but at least the eyes should shine.

Second, focus is on the nose area, missing the semi reflection of the boy?
