Pattern noise is more common in pictures with low ISO settings (within the shadow details). As I was saying, it was made to be a good high ISO performer. I never argued that. Yes, there is banding when you're really pushing it's performance but that is to be expected.
The pattern noise SOOC in some pictures taken low ISO settings is not an issue that should be neglected unless it's not an issue for you personally.
