nice one Rob. thanks for the quick darkroom lesson :)

i dont think ive ever seen a wild deer before. dont want to jinx it but will a 70-200 be sufficient?

it's an amazing experience, especially when a BIG Red Stag is bellowing a few metres away - makes you feel very small! :D

I personally prefer a bit of environment in my shots, so I would have thought you'll be OK with a 70-200

and a very dodgy video, kind of my first go at a video so its a bit out of focus in places which may make you feel a bit sea sick....

have the red deer finished their rut this year? normally fallows are rutting about two weeks after the big reds.

I had heard that the Reds at Richmond hadn't really got into the swing of full rutting yet - knowing my lousy luck they'll have all done it this week and I'll just get shots of Hareem hustling! :D

Anyone want to buy a brand new Epson 3880 A2 printer (external link)? I tried to sell it a while ago but while moving house stopped trying. I'm dropping the price to £600, preferably the buyer collects.

hopefully your right, I find with the fallow deer that they rut around about the 18-26th October each year after a clear cold night, one of the park rangers told me that a few years ago and hes been right for the last three, I went to Knole on Sunday morning and it was a warmish cloudy morning and no action going on, just 30ish photographers standing around waiting, when this morning it was bloody cold and not a soul about, just a hundred deer and me, lovely.
