Went to visit a friend for dinner last night .. and Hampton Court Palace are building their ice rink. I stopped to take pictures of the work but got distracted by the testing of the lights ... some examples below ...! (Totally missed the ice rink - they'd turned off the lights by the time I'd stopped taking shots of the Palace!!! Oops)

Lovely shots Clare! Always nice when you stumble across something interesting.

Chris / Kevin: are there any special features or custom functions on the MkIV that you have discovered and I should pay attention to when setting the camera up?

Nothing that different from the custom functions I used on the MkIII. That's probably not too helpful though ;)

I mostly use the standard ones (no shooting without a cf card etc), but there was one that allowed you to keep different focus points selected depending on the orientation you were holding the camera at that I really like.

Nice new toys by the way mate!

Haha, well I'm sure I'll be on the receving end tomorrow when Oz go into bat. We haven't had much to cheer about with Aussie cricket since Hayden, Warnie and McGrath retired.

You're lucky to have Siddle back on form tbh, without him your attack didn't really have much teeth (Hilfenhaus wasn't bad tho), and Mitchell Johnson is looking as ropey as he was bowling against India, where he pretty much bowled to everything bar the crease.
