I'm quite liking the idea of a lie in for a change, perhaps we can meet mid morning/lunchtime? it'll take me 40 minutes to get to LDN Victoria...

some sunset type shots would be good - and we'll be frozen by then too! :D

Morning all, I've been away from the forum for a few days! waaay too many pages to read all of them.
Hope you all had a good meet last night, look forward to seeing the pics.

Rob, please pass on my best wishes to Holly, I hope everything goes ok. (and well done on the new kit!)

My wife was looking at a photo trip for xmas, and knows I've been talking about snapping some puffins.
This is waht she had in mind...

It turns out that island is about 8 miles from my sister in laws in Newcastle where we go a few times a year, and I'm up there for 2 weeks at xmas.... I will be making a few visits!

I might be up for that, depending on how much stuff I get done first thing. Keep us posted on a time/place.

I think the boats to the bird sanctuary only operate during breeding season between May-July (which coincides with better weather). I looked at going for a day when I drove up to Scotland in August but the weather was pants. Planning to go next June/July next year though - another POTN meet?

FYI theres a dozen operators leaving from Seahouses for day trips so take your pick. I spotted this link earlier in the year but there are others: http://www.farne-islands.com/boat-trips/index.htm (external link)

Cool, I think Chris went there a couple of years ago - hopefully he'll be able to give you some tips as to good shooting spots.

Sounds good. Where do you want to be for sunset? We can figure out where to meet from there.

Also, again? Grrrrr!

I am writing to let you know that the RMT and TSSA unions have called a Tube strike. If the strike goes ahead, there is likely to be disruption to Tube services from the evening of Sunday 28 November and throughout Monday 29 November.

yeah i was thinking this... the only good/different location for sunset i know is city airport but is a bit too far out tbh. What are some good ones?
we could also head to hyde park for the winter fair thingy

yeah boo to the stube strike. I support their cause but hate the disruption. Last time wasnt too bad i guess. Had to walk from liverpool st instead of st pauls and also had to wait 25 mins for a train home from bank
