My wife was looking at a photo trip for xmas, and knows I've been talking about snapping some puffins.
This is waht she had in mind...

It turns out that island is about 8 miles from my sister in laws in Newcastle where we go a few times a year, and I'm up there for 2 weeks at xmas.... I will be making a few visits!

I put a post up a while ago to see if people were interested for a jaunt over to skomer island and tie it in with gigrin farms and the mach loop which would be around that sort of time as an alternative

Very nice

Any chance you could direct me to the post? When etc ... I'd LOVE to see puffins ... very high on my list of things to photograph

Managed to catch the starlings coming in to roost under Eastbourne PIer tonight ... they warmed themselves first on the top of the dome - then flew under the pier for the night. I'm just posting a couple of video clips on flickr too ... they are just amazing. And the NOISE! Wonderful :D:D:D

Just caught up on the thread Adrian - thanks for that. If it's not too late I'd be up for something like that ... I'm away in June for my birthday ... but am sure I could manage something in July too ... looks FAB! Thanks
