We did very well to win a category, espesh since looking at most of the winning monthly submissions they relied on one photographer who's a specialist in that area for all their images (Great Notley in the Black and white for example, were all photos taken by the guy that won best overall photo, with black and white portraits of homeless people) Speaking to the bloke who runs it, it seems next year of the 3 images they will have to be taken by at least 2 photographers.

Looking at the submissions I think next year we can plan better how to score higher, knowing what the judges like.

Not much of a club effort if they rely on one person, personally I think each photo should be by someone different but then it woudl not be difficult to cheat.

Again thanks to Mike for doing all the organising

Swaffs wrote in post #11427097 (external link)
To be honest, the Judges did not make any comments on the images, I did however make a video of the presentation showing the top ten clubs overall scores and they displayed about 5 or 6 top images from each of those clubs.
I'll stick it on Youtube when I figure out how.

That would be interesting certainly help us to see what they are looking for

I'm feeling crap today, and nowt to do with last nights wine.
I've been full of cold for a few days, but woke up at 02:30 this morn proepr shaking and really hot, then cold etc.

At work now with a brace of meetings starting from 10

Hope you are feeling better soon.....you haven't done too well with colds/flu the last few months

Sounds very good looking to all the pics when you get a chance to put them up

Guess it depends on the bride too ... I've done a wedding where the bride wanted some .. umm .. "boudoir shots" taken before the wedding as she got ready, to give to her new hubby that were for their eyes only ... another bride was happy for me to shoot as she got dressed - but again wanted the shots to be for them only even though I waited till she was mostly in her dress before shooting ... not sure many brides would really want shots published of them semi naked... but some are probably all for it!

Horses for courses......I have been to peoples houses and they have some scantily clad pictures on display in the living room yet alone keep them private.

Ok boss.............;)

Still having a love in with the 50mm on the D700 so here we have it, all shot handheld and some at ISO4000

Its a crying shame that this great building is standing idle, everything is still in there kitchens with all the equipment, MRI scanner, operating theartres, wards, X-Ray rooms.............a quick clean and patients could move in.
