Matt, I recall that theres a Vista recovery disk ISO you can download, it's not the whole OS, but just the recovery parts, I'm trying to find a link now.

Ok I went with the Windows7 idea.. Hit f12 so I could boot from the DVD, starts loading the windows files then the scrolling bar appears, then all I get is a blank screen with s cursor on it.. I think it's fudged! :(

i seem to recall a very annoying bug with vista. It might sound odd but try removing some of the memory and attempting to run the os disk. Try 2gb of memory or less. when i was on vista i used to get problems like that.

My efforts for Eagle Heights last weekend.

7.

Kay, now that looks like an interesting place and this one and the Marabou Stork looking for a treat are the corkers for me.

Nice photos Kay.

Went down to Lydden this afternoon as there was a bike trackday on ( not riding this time unfortuneately). Heres the first few to come off the camera all just resized.

Hoping to do the one on the 2nd October if anyone is interested in popping down.

Nice set but I like this the best. As for the 2nd Oct must see what the calendar says but for sure would love to get to Lydden again sometime?

A couple of shots I took of the Spinnaker Tower Portsmouth a few months ago, been playing the night shots did not have a tripod or remote trigger so was a balancing job on a table, oh and I had had a pint!

These are from the tour of the restoration sheds.

Looks very good and shows (I think) the boilermakers craft so very well.

Thanks for the comments. Eagle heights is a really good place, but i dont know how often they get the cheetahs out of their cages, but its worth enquiring with them, They also do photogrpahy days there as well which im going to find out about.

Re the Locomotive sheds, as far as i remember, those boilers are striped of all of the paintwork and as much rust as possible, and then painted with aluminium (or another metal) paint to help preserve them before they get painted. Im going down there on 2nd October to help out as a volunteer and be taught how to restore etc.

Nice shot Victor, nice soft edge to the light but a reflector on the left to fill that shadow would improve it.
