crikey a slow day in here! I hope everyone's been out taking pics?

here's a few more from yesterdays excursion...

Really like this one.

Victor agree with Rob either a reflector or some form of lighting on the left is needed

So having never tried some outdoor OCF, thought it about time.....so we have a 24"x24" soft box camera right, Canon 430EXII triggered by Cactus V4, really wanted to have the soft box further back but restricted as we we on a balcony. C&C appreciated............think it may a bit hot on the right??

Oh its me eldest son by the way............lol

I like it Victor - nice lighting.

Nice set Richard - like the b&w conversion.

Just back from the Lakes - most of my pics are of cakes and tea shops which was the purpose of the trip but we did get to take the odd landscape too.

Hope it is not too painful

Hey folks, so I mentioned previously I had booked my flights.. I have also confirmed with work I'm good to go on the chosen dates

At this stage I've pencilled in 13/14/15 December as days to sightsee around London. I will create a couple of facebook event pages soon. Only about to get busier here, shooting a couple of weddings back to back on 9th and 10th October. Hard juggling full time work and paid photography work. Haha, if that was 10k GBP job, I'd fly over and do it now

Shared a few sunrise pics from a few months ago:
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=933196

I know you are a bit of an old hand but good luck with the weddings

Nice shots Adrian - i especially like the B&W conversion used for the stirling moss panning shot. (although how did he get away with wearing Oakley goggles!? )
Lovely warbirds as well!

Did anyone watch countryfile today? My photo was shown as part of the final 3000 out of 65k entries, albeit for only a split second and was on top of Jo Brands pile immediately afterwards. ( before then being immediately discarded its seems!:cry: )

I also like this one though the colours seem too muted with low contrast compared to the times I have seen Flamingos ???

IMO a very strong male portrait but I do think the lit side has a look of being burned out ~ would reduced power setting of the flash have worked better? As for a reflector on the lefthand side I wonder if a matt black one (anti reflector???) would have made the image even stronger?

All nice but IMO this one is the best :)

@ Adrian ~ nice set. Before I went away for the week I was hoping to get to the GR today but was way too kn***ered last night to make the effort and I was promised a ride round the track in (if memory serves?) a 1934 Austin by a customer of mine ~ c'est la vie, maybe next year :(

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

thanks for the kind words folks, I can confirm Laurence that these it seems are muted Flamingoes, I saw six species in total the most vibrant it seems are the likes of Chilean, Andean & Carribean Flamingo - these lesser Flamingo despite slight colour variances are very toned down...

unlike these chaps...

& morning all, another week of fun & frolics (not) weather looks terrible, though on the plus side I'm off to Brands Hatch at the weekend for some *hopefully* behind the scenes pics at the Formula 3 - very excited! :D

Adrian that set of Goodwood shots is awesome - love the the Stirling Moss shot especially (and I do love the planes too!)

The seal shot cropped up a few times I'm surprised by the amount of times it was shown it wasn't chosen.

Really? I only saw it the once. Must pay more attention!

I'm just happy to have confirmation that i was good enough to get in the top 3,000. Nice feeling after a really crappy day.

Look forward to the Formula 3 shots Lee - is that with a client through work or just a friend in the know?
