I have to say that my S95 in Auto overexposed every shot... I've been using it on Av as I normally do on my 30d, and the results have been good.. Put it on Auto to take a family pic on a tripod for Thanksgiving and they looked ok on my iMac (new) and macbook pro, but when I printed them out, I wanted to through them right in the garbage.. Had to tweak them (jpeg) as best I could, but needless to say Auto mode will not be used ever again. In fact, in Av I have the exposure set to the left (-) a few clicks. My house is all white, and it seems in Auto or with the exposure set a (0) it blows the whites, lights, anything light in color off the chart...

My wife flipped as I used it for the family picture and not the 30d/24-70 L and went on to challenge me to a shoot out with her Sony TX-5 or DSC-HX1 as neither have ever over exposed like the S95, etc..

All in all I still like it and wish I could figure out how to post a few shots here on the this thread without having to post to a link to like photobucket, etc. I snapped some nice ones since I got it last week and took advantage of the some of the options regarding BW and certain items color. I will agree with my wife though, the Thanksgiving shots from the camera in jpeg, sucked. I'm shooting raw/jpeg, yet in Auto it only produced jpeg images.

Let's see what happens...

coldcuts, if you are having problems with posting pics upload your image to imageshack. Once its finished click on your picture which will open a new page. Right click and choose "open image in new tab" and you will have a page with just your picture without any other texts or images. Copy the web address for your pic.

Nice day on the Potomac today... but learned a valuable lesson about the S95: what everybody's been saying about short battery life: true! Might be time to invest in a second battery - or at least remember to charge the battery before heading out!!

You just need to reduce the quality and/or the size until you reach 150k or less... I usually save down to 800px and JPEG quality of 65...

If you already have them in Photobucket you just need to grab the IMG link next to your picture in Photobucket and paste it into the message.

Check the links in my sig. If you have your photos on PhotoBucket already, you should be able to embed them in here by using the [IMG](picture URL)[/IMG] tags.

Thanks!! I don't post any pics on line. I do have a photobucket account as I needed it to post pictures of watches I wanted to sell on Timezone, etc.

I would like to know how to reduce the image from my mac from let's say iPhoto. I know if I drag a photo out of iPhoto onto my desktop I can compress the image, that's all..

**Sorry I hijacked this thread so any PM's would be appreciated as I'd like to continue seeing S95 shots as well post a few of mine here!!
