Just wondering...does anyone print their own die-cut wallets and if so what's the process in making them "die-cut"? Is it a special printer?

I don't know of any consumer printer that will also die cut the wallets. You could always go buy yourself a nice paper cutter to do the job (although you won't have those nice rounded edges that die cut usually gives).

Cool for a scrapbooking mom. Annoying for a production line. Definitely wouldn't want to go through that for 128+ wallet prints.

The wallets are fed into a rolling cutter that has a die made to cut all 8 or 9 wallets at once.
It's a pretty expensive machine and the dies are also a little pricey.

Right. Nor would I. I don't print out 128+ wallet prints (I let Nations Photo handle that) but a die cutter costs around $1,000. I would have to print a lot of photos to recover that investment.

Couldn't agree more! I have mine done through Mpix and like the end results. When I do organized shoots with sports teams w/forms the parent completes I order them through my own website, and as I complete each order (create the images) I upload and throw into cart.

This leads to why I asked the original question:
At times I forget a sheet (8) of die cut wallets and usually need them in a hurry, before delivering to the team. I thought of just printing on my dye sub but I'd rather have all wallets orders to be die cut. So, rather than pay more for s/h than the prints, I'd print them (getting them to look the same, i.e. color profile) is another obstacle! :/

Well it's not an ideal solution, but alot of printable business card papers you can buy at staples are die cut. The paper quality won't be there though.

This is my camera, there are many like it, but this one is mine.

Double check your orders from now on instead perhaps? ;)
