What's some good camera furniture?

How do you guys store your camera gear at home?
I have mine in the photography bags and just put them away somewhere. I would quite like to have some kind of furniture where i can put my lenses and camera(s) preferably in a way that would showcase the equipment.

Although I'm totally paranoid of breaking gear so the thing would need to be very sturdy, especially since it will contain more then a years budget of "toys"

I keep mine in my backpack ready to go, the display case would make it easier on burglars though, nicely displayed so they can grab only the expensive gear, but then you have to pack it all up when you want to actually use it. I guess I never felt a need to put my gear on display.

I use a wooden machinist's tool chest I bought at COSTCO about ten years ago. It holds everything I have with he exception of my antique camera collection.

That's a fantastic idea. Looks great as well.

There are also companies that make glass-fronted breakfronts, that would showcase your equipment. I like that idea for the den or study or the living room.
