Im looking to upgrade from my "Put the gear in a regular backpack and wrap that isht in towels" method..

I want to be able to carry:

7D w/ Grip & 70-200 2.8
5D MkII w/ Grip & 24-105 or 24-70
580EX
Gary Fong? Not necessary to carry..but itd be nice..
A 14" Laptop
Filters, Batteries, Cards

And if I can put a book or 2 in it, that'd be AWESOME, but its really not necessary.

Look at the Tamrac Expedition 7 which has a wide waist belt like a trekking pack. If you're going to put all that gear in there, you shouldn't be carrying the weight on your shoulders.

I really like my Tamrac Expedition 7X. Holds ALL my gear and still has room for a little more.

Big fan of Clik Elite bags (I own the medium nature). Can't say enough about them.

Doesn't F-stop have pack inserts?
Maybe the old pack will keep working for you!
