My initial thoughts:

The first one isn't bad. They look happy. I'm not feeling the second one. They look sad or uncomfortable. JMHO.

Try and experiment with leaving couples in their natural environment- home life, personal interactions, daily activities, to make it a more personalized photo.

This might help your subjects to have a more relaxed and natural look on their face too. It is amazing what happens to people when you take their pick in their surroundings.
