Went to download images from a 1GB Kingston memory card - they all came out as attached picture shows. Put the card back into the camera and the LCD screen simply read (ERR) and showed zero pictures on the card. Reformatted the card which now seems to be working okay. Does anybody know what form of corruption this was?

You use aRGB colour space? (_MG_5642) It's a bad card. I wouldn't use it any more. Good ones are cheap enough.

You may get away with the card being OK in the future, but personally I'd get rid of it, or keep it for a real emergency backup. It's only a 1Gb card and they are pretty cheap (relatively) so time to get a new 4 or 8Gb one :-)
