I got the LR 3.2 demo on my PC and it works like a dream.
However on my Macbook I get some problems on my main account.

I created a new account and it works perfectly!

But I don't want to use another account since I have everything setup on my main account.
I tried out the LR 2 and got similar error codes. So I gave it up.

Now it seems like the Lightroom 3.2 has improved and could end up being in my main workflow. But since I use the Mac the most I want this to work here also before buying it

Here are the error code I get when trying to import images. The database is set to default.
The error code 2 is when I try to switch to the development tab

Have you attempted to repair disk permissions using Disk Utility? Try uninstalling LR, repairing permissions and then reinstalling maybe? LR3.2 works fine on my Mac Book Pro, and I have never encountered these problems with any version of LR so I can;t really offer much help. Hope you figure it out.

Do you use the same catalog on the new account?

Try creating a new catalog on your old account and see wether that works.

Create a new catalog did not not solve the problem and no I did use a new catalog on the other account.

There's a mystery problem that the installer hits from time to time - some kind of permissions issue.

Solution is usually to copy the Macintosh HD/Users/[your user]/Library/Application Support/Lightroom folder from another working computer or another working account on the same computer. Once that's copied over, it usually works fine.

Out of interest, do you have any Nik software installed on that machine? That's the current primary suspect.

I will try that out. I have had some Nik software in the past, but should have been deleted.
I am currently out of town for work. So I will check this out tomorrow.

This worked perfect!
Now I can test out Lightroom
Thank you, Victoria
